History of Walnut Hill Farm
Walnut Hill has been a working family farm for over 100 years. It was started by my grandfather and great uncle in 1913. My grandfather took sole ownership in 1923. During the early years the farm produced cotton and tobacco along with small grains. Dairying played an important role until 1964. Today, the farm produces corn, soybeans and cotton on a rotating schedule. The barn was built in 1953 by my father and grandfather. The barn’s renovation was started in 2012 and completed in 2013. Be sure to check out the before and after renovation photos!
